Sedona has a magical quality unlike any other place on the planet. The soaring red sandstone, perfect blue skies, and outdoor, healthy vibe inspires and energizes visitors from the moment they arrive. Panoramic vistas are everywhere – stunning, magnificent, even breathtaking–and each is more beautiful than the next.

Having a lifetime love affair with Sedona, it wasn’t easy to choose this desert wonderland’s best spots in planning Tomgirl Tours’ Red Rock Rendezvous adventure. Desert Adventure

·         Clearly, the Grand Canyon, which draws 5 million visitors each year from around the globe, needs no introduction or explanation in itself. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Grand Canyon’s appeal to outdoorsy tomgirls made it a must in the Red Rock Rendezvous tour. But, in Tomgirl Tours style, our tour is anything but the average tourist exploration of the canyon. Instead, Red Rock Rendezvous takes tomgirls on a 3-hour hike below the rim of the inner canyon. Hiking below the rim means experiencing views that others just don’t see (and having to move over to let mules pass as they have the right of way on the trails!)

·         Another day of the Red Rock Rendezvous is spent on a rugged, once-in-a-lifetime experience: a Pink Jeep tour of Broken Arrow and Ancient Ruins. This unusual off-road tour, in a rugged pink open-air Jeep, brings tomgirls to places they never imagined – Submarine Rock and Road of No Return -  where they sample Native American history and culture, nature and, of course, those panoramic vistas.

·         To provide a full 360 experience of Sedona and its surrounding area, we take to the skies for a sunrise hot air balloon ride with Red Rock Balloons, where we soar high above the pines and red sandstone for views and an experience beyond description or compare.
